My name is Melody Greene, and I have a confession to make.
I slept with my student, a senior in high school.
I had multiple orgasms.
In multiple positions.
I slept with my student and I enjoyed it.
I slept with my student and I’d do it all over again if I could turn back time.
My name is Melody Greene, and I got kicked out of my position as a teacher and did my walk of shame a la Cersei Lannister from the principal’s office, minutes after said principal threatened to call the cops on me.
My name is Melody Greene, and I did something bad because it made me feel good.
Here is why it was totally worth it.
Defy is a smutty, insta-love, insta-lust short novella. Defy is a prequel to Vicious (Sinners of Saint #1). It is recommended, but unnecessary, to read Defy before reading Vicious.
If you’ve never heard of the hotholes Defy is the perfect way to introduce you to these guys. LJ Shen is pretty new to me I only recently started reading her work and she’s definitely hit a top list of mine. Compared to Vicious, Defy was so much different. I sort of had this pre conceived notion that Jaime was more asshole than he was nice guy but I’m happy to confirm
Jaime wasn’t all that bad, He was kind and caring when he needed to be whole staying true to the hotholes and what they were all about. I enjoyed Mel’s character there wasn’t really anything that’s stood out about her though for me anyway, apart from the fact Jaime was her weakness I think she was an all round character. Reading about Jaime and melody falling in love was a great experience for me, I do wish maybe it was a little longer however I do understand Defy is a novella. So all in all I found this to be a great read 🙂 very easy to read with some scenes between Jaime and Mel hitting me with some feels.
