All is lost.

I don’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore.
My thoughts are filled with hatred and dripping with rage.
I’ve lost my soul.
She took it to the depths of Hell with her and haunts me with images of what could have been.
Sixty lives are mine to take.
Sixty lives stand in the way of my vengeance.
Sixty lives plus one more.
When the last drop of blood falls — mine will be spilled.
Only one person stands in the way.
She doesn’t realize I’ll kill her too.
I don’t own a heart.
And even if I did — I wouldn’t fall prey to its lies again.
I am Chase Abandonato.
Heir to a legacy of betrayal.
And I will kill them all.
Even if it means pointing the gun at myself.
A life for a life.
A soul for a soul.

Now I lay me down to sleep… I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Blood in. No out.

It covered my hands.
It surged through my heart.
It dripped from my fingertips onto the concrete floor.
Insanity scratched its way into my psyche as I eyed the door and waited. One heartbeat, two heartbeats, three…
It opened.
I fired two rounds, and acrid smoke filled the air.
I thought I knew what love was. I was a fucking idiot. Every single bone in my body shuddered with rage, with the need to rip something apart, someone, anyone —all of them. My friends. My brothers. I brought the war to our house, and they would finish me because of it.
I’d thought I loved her.
Our love had been a lie.
Her betrayal my only truth.
And now?
Now, I finally knew what love was. I’d seen it, smelled it, tasted it.
And lost it.
I’d fucking lost it.
They would pay. They would all pay.
For taking her.
For turning her against me.
For making me believe that blood was everything, only after mine was spilled.

5 stars – Review by Bel

Eulogy set my mafia romance loving heart on fire. This beautifully crafted story showcased the sheer brilliance that is Rachel Van Dyken and was nothing short of an addictive masterpiece. An absolute standout in the mafia romance genre. This book is life. It consumed me. Ruined me. It. Was. Everything. Eulogy was one novel within a series I will never forget. This intoxicating story was about a broken hearted man on a path of revenge with a one way ticket to hell. And a woman determined to love him enough for the both of them. Chase and Luciana’s love story was unpredictable and messy. Raw and gritty. Beautifully dark and utterly mind blowing. If I had to use one word to describe this entire series it would definitely be: addictive. Chase was the ultimate anti-hero who has had my heart from the very beginning in Elite. He has always been my favourite man of the series and he did not disappoint in Eulogy. You need this beautiful man in your life, trust me. Luciana was a selfless, resilient and totally refreshing heroine. Together these two took on a world of demons and together, they were perfect. I devoured Eulogy in one crazy, angst ridden sitting. I couldn’t read fast enough yet I didn’t want to finish it. If I finished it, it would be over and who the hell doesn’t want these mafia families in their life? If you’re a newbie to this series, I strongly suggest reading the books in series order. Do it and thank me later. You will be able to not only appreciate every side character you come across in Eulogy, but also understand how this series has progressed over the years to get to where it is now, in Eulogy. Chase and Luciana’s story really brought this series full circle thanks to the chaos that is the lives of the Italian mafia and others by association. (Can’t forget the Russian I’ve always loved!) Witnessing it all unfold had my heart thumping wildly and my stomach knotting with excitement and nerves all at the same time. Every unpredictable moment made this bloodthirsty story so captivating and consuming. Days later and I was still reeling from how it all played out, and thinking about each character and what the future would hold for them. Eulogy is now my new favourite novel in this unforgettable, action packed series. And without a doubt, Rachel Van Dyken is the queen of mafia romance.

5 stars – Review by Tamara

So this has to be one of the hardest reviews I’ve ever written, 1 because this book ruined me for reading it was that good. It went straight to the top of my list of top books!
Eulogy has been my most anticipated read since I knew it was coming next my expectations were already pretty high and Rachel Van Dyken managed to shoot straight past those and blow me away with this utterly addictive love story about a broken man who was a complete train wreck. Chase was never a favourite of mine but I always enjoyed his character . After eulogy he hit top spot for me who doesn’t love a broken a man??? I know I do! Luc omg I loved her! Naive as hell, but she was one kickass character. I loved Chase and Luc together I just wish we got to read a bit more about them being together as a couple and not just the growth of that relationship building! One thing I will say is eulogy at time really hit me in the feels with chase and his struggles, I felt myself at times rubbing my chest feeling like his heartbreak was my own! Anyways, to sum my babbling up I freaking loved Eulogy. It was everything, I am ruined.
It’s no secret that I love this series is do yourself a favour and jump on the crazy train that is Eagle Elite, it’s fun, additive, raw and quite frankly the best mafia series out there!!!
